added a new chronograph reference to its Overseas collection, first introduced in 1999 and
.
The new Overseas Chronograph ref. 5500V/110A-B686 comes in a 42.5 mm x 13.7 mm stainless steel case with a so-called "panda" dial featuring a silver-toned, sunburst satin-finished base on which snailed black counters and a black velvet-finished flange stand out in a light-dark contrast.
White gold hour-markers and hands, highlighted with Super-LumiNova, and a date aperture at 4:30 complete the ensemble.
Thanks to screwed-down push pieces, crown and caseback, water-resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 15 bar (approximately 150 metres / 500 feet).
Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) self-winding Calibre 5200 is equipped with a column-wheel to drive the chronograph start, stop and reset functions as well as a vertical clutch to prevent any potential jerking of the hand when the chronograph is activated.
The 22K oscillating weight builds up a power reserve of 52 hours.
The watch is matched to a stainless steel bracelet with half Maltese cross-shaped polished and satin brushed links, complete with a comfort-adjustment system, and delivered with two additional straps in leather or rubber matching the shade of the dial that can be interchanged without any need for tools.
The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph with Panda Dial ref. 5500V/110A-B686 has a price of CHF 32,500. vacheron-constantin.com
